Cookie and Privacy Policy – In More Detail

How We Collect and Use Information

We collect the following types of information about you:

Information you provide us directly:

We sometimes ask for certain information such as your real name, address, phone number, employer’s trading name or your trading name and e-mail address when you request a quote or further information from MWP, if you sign up to our email mailing list, if you claim a special offer or discount, or if you correspond with us. We may also retain any messages you send in your correspondence with us. We use this information to provide quotes and estimates, and supply our services effectively. People who sign up for our email mailing list will also receive marketing and sales messages, including advertising of our services through third-party advertising platforms such as Google and partner sites, Facebook and partner sites, Twitter and partner sites and LinkedIn and partner sites. You can withdraw this consent at any time, by contacting us directly or using the ‘unsubscribe’ link, which is included in all of our marketing emails.

We we only ever process your information for marketing with your consent. For general enquiries and conducting business, we will only use your information to extent it is needed for the legitimate interest of running out business and ensuring your expectations are met.

Analytics information:

We collect data using Google Analytics cookies on our website, as do a large number of other websites. We use data in aggregate form, meaning we use this information to see broad trends, not the actions of individual users.

We use collected data to improve our website by analysing how people interact with our existing content, such as pages, blog articles, forms and videos. This helps us to get an idea about what our users are finding useful or where there might be gaps in the information and functionality that we are providing on our website.

This data is also used in our advertising campaigns on other platforms, such as advertising on Google services (for example, Search and YouTube adverts), Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and their partner sites. This use of data allows us to target our adverts to people who are more likely to find them useful, provide more relevant advertising content and to measure the results of our advertising campaigns.

Finally, we run two domains, and, which are part of the same company. As these two brands are highly related and share similar audiences, we will sometimes use analytics data from either site to inform our actions across both domains. We will also use data from both domains to provide better overall advertising campaigns, which could lead to pages on either domain.

This site uses cookies – small text files that are placed on your machine to help the site provide a better user experience. In general, cookies are used to retain user preferences, store information for things like shopping baskets, and provide anonymised tracking data to third party applications like Google Analytics. As a rule, cookies will make your browsing experience better. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. For more information on how to do this, see the Opting-out of cookies section below (under ‘Your Choices about Your Information’).

Unless you opt-out, we collect and process information from cookies with your consent, through your use of our website.

We also run remarketing adverts, on Google properties and Google’s advertising partners (which consists of lots of participating websites). These adverts are displayed to people who have previously visited our site, to remind them about our company, products, services and special offers. We use this same information to target ‘similar audiences’ with our adverts. Google uses the aggregate information collected about our website users to target adverts to people who appear to be similar to people who already use our website, and so may be more likely to respond to our adverts. We can create various categories, such as people who visit our website, or people who submitted our forms, for example.

Unless you opt-out, we collect and process information from cookies with your consent, through your use of our website.

Information Related to Contract:

We process certain information, like financial information related to bills, estimates and invoices to fulfil contracts with our clients and our suppliers. We also keep some of this information through our obligations as a business and will keep it for at least the legal minimum of six years following the end of the financial year in which the project was concluded.

Your Choices about Your Information

We make every effort to promptly process all unsubscribe requests. If you have any questions about reviewing, modifying or deleting your account information, you can contact us directly at [email protected].

Opting-out of cookies:

If you would like to disable tracking by Google Analytics, you can install Google’s “Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on” (click here to go to the install page). This can be installed on most of the major browsers. Please note, this will stop you being tracked on all websites that use Google Analytics, not just on our websites.

You can also disable cookies in your browser. We suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers

You can also change your advertising preferences and choose how Google uses your data for advertising at any time by altering your Google ‘Ad Settings’:

In the course of this, we may ask for information such as your name, email address, phone number and proof of identity in order to ensure this request is genuine and that we can process it as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
